scav hunt - THE ANSWERS!

we promised some july fun and you know we always deliver! so, we are joining forces with our friends at *Ex-po-zure for a fantastic week of scavenger hunting! you have to go and collect the answers to the clues below and bring them back. the rules are as follows!

scavenger hunt rules..


:bulletred: answer all the questions below, be creative and have fun!
:bulletred: whoever gets the most points will win!
:bulletred: submit your answers by note, please put the word "Scavenger Hunt"
in the subject line of your note and send your note to BOTH clubs

:bulletblue: you will have one TWO weeks to find the answers until july 12, 2007 july 19th, 2007
:bulletblue: we will take 2 days after this to tally the points and winners will be announced!

well folks, it was a tough race. there were tears and tantrums, laughter and lots of entertaining and creative answers.. but, the simple fact is there can only be one winner and a couple of runners up!

feedback journal..

before you start..

welcome to the feedback fantastic journal! this is the journal where club members are welcome to submit work for feedback from other club members. perhaps you're just learning how to shape and take a photo, how to paint or draw or make some sort of craft, and you'd like some feedback from others in the club, this is the journal for you then! this section is NOT for work that is popular, highly refined or final, it's for work that you feel isn't ready for submission in the club gallery.

before commenting on work, consider what you want to say. make sure that your critique is constructive and offers meaningful feedback which aims to help the artist develop. criticisms are good, but don't be rude - perhaps make a suggestion on how something could be improved or what you might like to see. but remember, people make their art primarily because it pleases the artists, the viewer is just along for the ride.. so your critique or suggestions might not always lead to change - that's up to the artist.

so, some examples of what you might comment on:
- keep it simple, tell the artist what you do or perhaps don't like
- technical aspects: lighting, angles, colours, focus, depth of field, shades
- corrections for aesthetics (what might make it look better)
- content or subject information or correction

remember, the aim is to help people improve, not to offend or put down others. so with that in mind.. we invite you to click on some thumbs you think you could offer feedback for!

if you'd like to submit work for the feedback journal, just send the club a note with "feedback journal" in the subject line and a link to your deviation in the body of the note. PLEASE only send 1 link at a time so it's fair for everyone, and be patient with us and other members as we get the ball rolling!

work will be displayed in this journal for no more than a few weeks. please don't re-submit the same work again.
further guidelines may be developed as time goes on!

it's our 1st birthday.. and the hunt is on!!

COME CELEBRATE, IT'S OUR 1st BIRTHDAY!

we invite all members of the dA community to come and join us as we have fun and celebrate this occasion..
and in order to do that, we are issuing you a challenge!
yes, that's right, it's a dA scavenger hunt - flower club style.

YOU'R INSTRUCTIONS ARE SIMPLE!

• answer all questions / challenges on the list and earn yourself points..
• you have 3 days to complete your mission..
• mission starts: at 12pm 19th july AEST
• mission ends 12pm 22nd july AEST
• when you have all your answers, send a note to the club with "BIRTHDAY"
in the subject line, and your answers inside the note
• there will be only 1 winner and they will receive a shoutboard display feature
with 10 pieces of their art (chosen by them),
for the remainder of our birthday month!
