with well over 1,000 members, we've had to make our submission guidelines a little tighter so that the club remains managable and accessable for both the members and admin staff.

please read through the following submission guidelines carefully and make sure that when you submit work it meets with these. if your work doesn't meet with them, you may find that your submissions are not posted in the club gallery.

only members can submit work to the club!

to keep track of members in the club and their permission to post work here, you must be a member to submit work. general members of the dA community are welcome to enjoy the club though. to join the club, just send us a note with "join club" in the subject line (no submission in the note), and we'll add you.. then, you can start submitting work!

we're a flower club, not a tree club!

deviation content or theme must be clearly related to flowers in some manner or form. other botanical images may also be submitted for consideration though, but this will be at the discretion of the club admin.

what type of work we accept (and what we don't!)..

your deviation submissions can take on the form of most art or writing however at this time the club does not accept avatars, emotes, icons, scraps, stock images or desktop screenshots as submissions to the club gallery. deviations which may contain mature content will be reviewed at the discretion of the admin staff. please don't be offended if your work is respectfully declined.

photo-manipulations..

we're happy to accept images which are categorized as "photomanipulations", however you need to include in your deviation description, either a list of things you've done to your image (describe why it's a manip), or include in your description a link to the original image (or stock), so that it can be compared. dA admin have previously removed work from the club and members galleries because it was not clear that work was manipulated, so we'd like to prevent this from happening in the future!

submissions should be recent work..

it's pretty simple.. we want to see you growing artisitcally, we want work that hasn't been on display in your dA gallery for an extended period of time (over 12 months). if your work is over 12 months of age, your submission will be reviewed by the club admin as to whether it will be posted or not.

submissions should be good quality..

the club is here to help you gain exposure and therefore feedback, but please don't send us 'snapshots'. it is up to you what you send us, but we'd prefer you to make you sure you send us your best work:

- we accept finished and final work only (no works in progress)
- photographs should be clearly in focus, neat and well presented
- no 'snapshots' images will be accepted (show us it's d'ART)
- traditional or creative art should be clean, tidy and scanned neatly
- your deviation should be correctly categorised (we reserve the right to re-categorise work where required)
- frames and watermarks are preferred for submissions

submissions should be the right size..

submitted images should not be too large or too small for viewing, this is fairer for members who have internet download limits or slower connections and to also protect the club against potential copyright infringements:

- images should be no smaller than 450pixels in width
- images should be no larger than 1500pixels wide
- we reserve the right to decline work that is too small or big

submission limit is now 1 deviation per month..

due to overwhelming submissions we are now limiting member submissions to 1 deviation per month. please, be VERY selective with what you submit. if people like your work, they will look through your gallery.

to submit your deviation to the club, just send us a note..

it's pretty simple to submit work here, just send us a note with "submission" in the subject line and inside the note place the preview link (URL of your deviation) to the deviation in your gallery (not full view, and not a : thumb : link either), and then we'll consider adding it as soon as possible. please note though, we tend to get a lot of submissions and we know that no one generally wants their message box flooded, so please be patient with us as we get through all them all!

if your note does NOT have "submission" in the subject line, and you've just included a link in the note, your submission will NOT be posted. you must label the note correctly for us so we know what to do with it!.

submission days..

generally the admin will only post work in the club gallery 5 days a week (monday - friday), with the weekend off (we need some time off too!). should you send work in over the weekends, please note that it will probably take us a few extra days to get to it..

notes sent to the club..

we do read every note, but please remember we usually receive over 20 notes a day, it might take time to get to yours!

submission notes: please don't send us more than ONE submission note a month, you'll only slow down the submissions. if it's more than 4 weeks since you sent your note and you havven't seen your deviation submitted or had a reply, then by all means please write and ask!

if your deviation was not accepted: we don't mean to upset you, but due to time contraints we can not exchange notes with members who disagree with an admin's decision not to post thier work, we simply don't have the time. with nearly 2,000 members, there is a lot to do behind the scenes, so please make sure you read all the club journals for information before you write to us for an explanation about something - that's why the effort has been put into the club journals for you!

if your submission is declined on the grounds that it does not meet the submission guidelines, please respect that we don't have time to discuss this in great depth. members are encouraged to read the submission guidelines carefully to make sure their deviation meets our standards. we need your help to make this club THE BEST!

your permission to display work..

deviations are submitted to the club by deviantART members and therefore are displayed in the gallery with permission (because only you can submit your own work). images displayed in this club may not be copied or reproduced without the expressed permission of the original artist of the work. all members of this club are to abide by the deviantART submission guidelines

other important points to remember..

work will only be displayed in the club gallery for around 6 months, after which time it will be removed - with the exception of work selected as a club 'featured deviation'

it is dA policy that clubs not +fav the work of it's members. so we won't be doing this. if you find that the club has for some reason +fav'd something of yours, we ask that you let us know immediately. for more information about this, please see dA FAQ #216: Are there any rules for accounts being used as clubs or 'group' accounts?
